Once grown primarily for oil production and fodder utilisation, Abyssinian cabbage is now an important fast growing crucifere in the cover crop segment. Purplefire is a variety, that is undemanding and due to its late flowering suitable for early sowing dates. The variety's drought tolerance secures plant growth under hot and dry conditions. Furthermore, the name says it all: The variety is characterised by its purple-coloured leaves.
