Profile

ARELIO is the first diploid variety suitable for moorland to be entered in the Federal Plant Variety Registry for many years. ARELIO is a mid-early perennial ryegrass. The overall high yield is generated in particular by the subsequent cuts (BSA grade 6), thereby making the variety very suitable for grazing. ARELIO has a remarkable low inflorescence formation in the regrowth (BSA grade 3), which is rated positively when digestibility as a quality characteristic is considered. The first test results from the Netherlands confirm the excellent performance of ARELIO, particularly regarding the yield characteristics when used for pasture and cutting, as well as its good winter hardiness.
