COUNTRY GRASSLAND 2461 ORGANIC

PDF DATASHEET

Profile

This mixture is especially suitable for overseeding of pastures and undersowing in grain. Because of the high content of perennial ryegrass and white clover it is suitable for grazing and for cutting. The twenty percent of white clover in the mixture ensures nitrogen fixation of the pastures and also good sward density. With regular overseeding, forage quality of pastures is maintained or even improved.

  • High protein content
  • Suitable for undersowing and overseeding
  • Good sward density

Notes

We produce the organic COUNTRY and TerraLife mixtures according to the requirements, rules and regulations of the EU and the guidelines of individual member states. Our comprehensive portfolio includes mixtures with a minimum of 70% organic components. If a certain species or variety is unavailable it will be replaced with equivalents. The EU guidelines for organic mixtures vary from country to country, therefore, the usage of organic mixtures with conventional components must be clarified with the responsible regulatory authority of the country for organic seeds in advance, and if requested, approved.

All organic mixtures are produced with 100 % organic content, if possible, in accordance with the EU Organic Farming Regulation 2018/848. For mixtures with at least 70% organic content, the farmer must obtain approval from his inspection body for the use of the conventional content before sowing, starting with production in January 2022. We aim to use at least 2 varieties per ripening group for mix proportions of more than 20 % of one species and for German ryegrass. The choice of varieties may vary depending on production. If individual species or varieties are not available, they are replaced by equivalent ones. The seed strengths are calculated for an optimal seedbed; in case of poor external conditions - such as insufficient seedbed, late sowing date, insufficient nutrient supply and unfavourable weather - the seed strengths should be adjusted upwards.
