On Tuesday 29 March 2022, DSV zaden Nederland festively took into use its new warehouse. DSV zaden Nederland has grown strongly: the volumes to be processed have doubled in the last 10 years. The extra expansion of 3900m² warehouse space is very necessary.
Ready for the future
Edwin van Sligter, managing director DSV zaden Nederland, says: "To support the growth of the organisation and to guarantee the level of service to our customers, we have expanded and modernised our storage capacity for finished products and the shipping area by 3,900m². This was preceded at the beginning of last year by the construction of a 1,400 m² roof.
With the expansion of three new loading docks, we can significantly increase both the delivery and the receipt capacity. In the new warehouse, 300 m² of offices, sanitary facilities and a canteen have also been realised. With the expansion, we are also taking an important step towards further optimising the product flow through the company and improving the working comfort of our employees."
In addition to the expansion of the warehouse, a brand new cleaning machine has also been taken into use for the purification of seeds.
"With this expansion, DSV zaden is ready for the future to serve its Dutch and Belgian customers, but also to meet the large international demand through an efficient streamlined logistic product flow," said Van Sligter.
