Use
- Winter cover crop
- Forage and biogas feed before maize sowing (mid to late April)
- Harvest from about 60 cm height, between awn tips starting to develop and becoming visible
Green manure
- Ground cover while winter time
- Harvest and root residue 18-20 quintals DM/ha
- Relative good preceding crop effect
- Fast ripening allows early sowing of succeeding crops
- Suitable as a cover crop for various undersow crops
