Use

  • Winter cover crop
  • Forage and biogas feed before maize sowing (mid to late April)
  • Harvest from about 60 cm height, between awn tips starting to develop and becoming visible

Green manure

  • Ground cover while winter time
  • Harvest and root residue 18-20 quintals DM/ha
  • Relative good preceding crop effect
  • Fast ripening allows early sowing of succeeding crops
  • Suitable as a cover crop for various undersow crops
