RAMIRO is a diploid Annual ryegrass for main and cover crop use due to late to very late ear emergence. Especially in Germany with the growing biogas market and the increasing usage of total plant silage, RAMIRO is a very interesting variety. If Annual ryegrass is used for biogas and with this sown very early under long-day conditions, then the intercrop varieties are able to reveal a reduced growth and very early ear emergence. The consequence: yield losses. This development is not expected for RAMIRO. It is one of the latest Annual ryegrasses on the market.
