The improvement of phosphorus efficiency in dairy cattle becomes more and more significant. In the Netherlands for example a new sort of production legislation / quota is made by the government based on phosphate.  Farmers can have more benefits if they are more efficient with phosphate. Eurofins Agro proved that a higher digestibility results in higher phosphate availability, resulting in higher efficiencies. Within plants, phosphate is mainly encapsulated in the cell walls. If the cell wall is better digestible, the phosphate will also be easier available for the cow.
