Profile
AXEL is a leafy forage rape which is especially suitable for grazing but also for cutting. Due to its good taste, high leaf content as well as fine and short stems, the variety is popular as a forage rape. Furthermore, AXEL shows as pre-crop a very good green manure effect because of the intensive rooting. It has an outstanding weed suppressing effect combined with a low tendency to flowering. AXEL is characterised by 00-quality, this means it is free of erucic acid and has a low content of glucosiolates. Its early sowing tolerance and very good winter hardiness make AXEL an interesting variety for cultivation.
