Profile

Sorghum bicolor

VIRNA is a medium-late silage or biomass type. Within the medium-late maturity group, it is one of the earliest varieties. The variety reaches growth lengths of up to 3.80 m, is high-yielding and produces grey-white grains. Due to its low starch content compared to DUAL types, it is particularly suitable for biogas production. Mixed cultivation with maize improves the stability of this long-growing type.
